Hamilton Ranch
Conservation Bank
Located in Northern California and offering conservation credits for rare species

ABOUT
Established in 2020, the Hamilton Ranch Conservation Bank is one of the newest banks in northern California. The Hamilton Ranch is a working cattle ranch located in Tehama County.
The Hamilton Ranch is a working landscape. Working landscapes provide the opportunity for land management, stewardship, and conservation while providing economic viability. When managed appropriately, with wildlife friendly ranching practices, these landscapes provide habitat connectivity and conserve biodiverisy. The Hamilton Ranch have voluntarily practiced wildlife friendly ranching for many years, resulting in a rare vernal landscape supporting a rich array of vernal dependent wildlife and plants.

The ranch is spectacular with hundreds of acres of pristine vernal pools and is isolated from people, roads, and urban development. The California Waterfowl Association holds the conservation easement on this property which ensures that conservation values and ranching will be protected for generations to come.

The vernal landscape and blue oak woodlands provides suitable habitat to some of the rarest plants and vernal invertebrates in California.
